Youghiogheny River — Friendsville

The upper Youghiogheny through the Friendsville corridor is a designated Catch-and-Return trout stream managed for quality wild trout fishing. Bank access along MD 53 and public lands adjacent to the river. Also holds smallmouth in non-designated sections.

Catch-and-return artificial lures only in the Quality Fishery section — verify current section boundaries with MD DNR. Whitewater kayakers also use this stretch.
