For Businesses
Get listed where the trip gets planned
Anglers check It’s a Fishing Day at the exact moment they’re deciding whether to fish today — and where. If you run a charter, guide service, bait shop, marina, or fishing lodge on waters we cover, a listing puts your business on the location and species pages those anglers are already reading.

What a Premium listing looks like
Your Premium listing renders exactly like the card below, in the “Local Partners” band at the top of every location and species page in your service area.
Chesapeake Light Tackle Charters
Half- and full-day light-tackle and fly trips for striped bass and red drum out of Sandy Point — USCG-licensed, all gear provided.
Example listing — not a real business.
How it works
- Apply. Pick your tier and tell us the waters you serve. It takes a couple of minutes.
- We review the fit. We approve every partner by hand. If you’re genuinely useful to the anglers reading those pages, you’re in — no auto-approval, no filler.
- You go live. Pay securely through 137 & Co., and we place your listing. Most partners are live within a few days.
Where your listing appears
Two independent knobs, not a page count. Your service area — the water body or region you actually serve — determines which pages display your listing. Today that’s per-location pages (e.g., /locations/sandy-point-state-park/) and the per-species pages within those locations.
Your tier determines how you appear: Basic in the grouped “Nearby Businesses” directory, Premium as a photo card in the “Local Partners” band near the top. Regional gives you Premium placement across every covered location in a broader area — built for mobile guides and outfits that cover a whole region.
Why partners trust the placement
Paid listings appear in clearly-labeled sections on relevant pages. They never reorder our conditions scoring, ranked-location lists, or “best spots today.” You can’t buy your way up the rankings here, and neither can your competition. The whole reason this site exists is that the alternatives sold their integrity — we won’t.
That’s also why every partner is reviewed. A curated set of genuinely relevant businesses is worth more to an angler — and to you — than a wall of paid noise.
Who’s a good fit
- Fishing charters and guide services (tidal and non-tidal)
- Bait and tackle shops, including fly shops
- Marinas, boat ramps with fuel, and launch facilities
- Fishing lodges, cabins, and angler-focused lodging
- Boat rentals, kayak outfitters, and guide schools
- Tournament series and fishing clubs that want visibility
Who isn’t
No national chains, no online-only retailers, no operations that advertise catch of out-of-season species, and nothing pretending to be editorial content. We keep listings relevant so they actually get used — and we reserve the right to remove listings that misrepresent regulations.
Questions
- Do paid listings change your rankings or scores?
- Never. Listings live in their own labeled sections. The conditions scoring, ranked locations, and “best spots today” are driven entirely by conditions and regulation data — money doesn’t touch them.
- Why is it curated instead of instant sign-up?
- Because a page full of anyone-who-paid is worthless to the angler and to you. We review every partner for genuine relevance to the waters they list on. It’s a slower yes, but a listing that means something.
- How soon do I go live?
- After we approve the fit and your payment clears, usually within a few days — often sooner.
- What if I run a mobile guide service across several waters?
- That’s the Regional tier. Mobile guides and regional charter outfits get Premium placement across every covered location in the area. Request a quote and we’ll scope it.
